C2 and Information Analysis
Bonboo are C2 and Information Analysis Experts, with proven experience integrating into JADC2 and ABMS systems.
Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) is the concept to connect sensors from all of the military services— Navy, Army, Air Force and Space —into a single network. With the speed of data challenges that we are facing today, and the integration of new technologies like Artificial Intelligence, edge computing and autonomous systems, the value of collaboration between the military, tech companies, and the wider community is more important than ever.
The Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) is the latest effort to create a next-generation command and control (C2) system.
Together JADC2 and ABMS vision is a unified domain and control system that connects existing sensors and shooters, and distributes the available data to all domains (air, land, sea, cyber, and space).
Weapons and Tactics
Over the past decade Bonboo's Operations Specialists have represented the Commonwealth at various Operational and Tactical focused conferences including Tactical Analysis Teams (TAT) and Weapons and Tactics Conferences (WEPTAC) in the Air and Maritime domains.
The purpose of Bonboo's Weapons and Tactics experts at a TAT or WEPTAC is to foster an analytical environment that brings together warfighters, domain experts and analysts to exchange information on Air and Air Defence topics that reflect current and emerging solutions for the joint employment of forces.
Through WEPTAC and TAT our Integration Specialists gain valuable insights into Air-to-Air, Maritime, Ground and Joint tactics. These assessments hugely influence the guidance we develop for Adversary Threat Courses of Action during Live and Synthetic activities throughout the year. This also positively impacts the accuracy, quality and realism of what Bonboo provides to procedures and exercises it develops for the ADF.
WEPTAC scope and purpose brings the future faster and accelerates change in the Australian Defence Force. WEPTAC and TAT provide feedback from warfighters directly to general officers and decision-makers that lead to substantive enhancements and improvements across the Joint Force, both from tactics development and science and technology advancement recommendations. Based on the tactics developed and tested in accordance with Warfighting Plan (WP) priorities, the outcome of WEPTACs and TATs is the formulation of Integrated Tactical Procedures (ITP). The Operational product delivered further informs the Joint integrated (Whole of Government) and Combined (Five Eyes) wargaming and inclusion into future High-end exercises.
Opposition Forces and Exercise Control
Adversary Simulation in the Live and Synthetic Environments
Bonboo can provide Opposition Forces (OPFOR) within the Exercise Control (EXCON) function that realistically portray an enemy force or capability for use by military, law enforcement and security professionals. Our OPFOR will be linked to the overarching scenario via EXCON and managed through a structured Master Event List (MEL) to ensure the OPFOR design meets the customers’ requirements.
Enemy Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs)
Our OPFOR can replicate Friendly, Neutral or Enemy (REDFOR/Red Force) and can be designed and integrated into military or civilian scenarios using military systems, equipment, and vehicles. The OPFOR capability can be designed to perform various duties including adversary air, land and sea forces, governmental liaison officers, flanking units, voice over communication, foreigners, merchants, rioters, protesters, labourers, third country nationals, severely- injured personnel, displaced persons, refugees, and dignitaries.

Let Bonboo HELP make sense for you
It is in sense-making that data transforms into information, and information is converted into knowledge.
Bonboo's Operations Specialists make sense of complex data by analysing JADC2 and ABMS information to better understand and predict the operational environment and the actions and intentions of an adversary, as well as the actions of our own and friendly forces.
Effective sense-making requires the ability to fuse, analyse, and render validated data and information from all domains and the electromagnetic spectrum. This function must execute within a secure information environment while remaining readily accessible to all authorised personnel. Ultimately, JADC2 must result in a reliable and sustained real-time understanding of the operational environment that is shared across the Joint Force and with our mission partners.
Littoral Operations in a Contested Environment (LOCE) is the concept which describes the integrated application of Navy, Army and Air capabilities to overcome emerging threats within littoral areas that are rapidly expanding in operational depth, complexity, and lethality. LOCE places a renewed emphasis on gaining sea control, to include employing sea, land and air-based capabilities to support the sea control fight. LOCE will be supported by Force Design 2030, also known as FD2030, a force restructuring plan by the United States Marine Corps to reshape its combat power for future near-peer adversary conflicts.
